Um... this is a semi-sentimental song. 'A bit of a departure,' you might say. 'Yes,' I might reply. But I like it. And hell, no matter how 'serious' it might be, its title is a classic joke. So it's gotta be fump-worthy just based on that, right?
My co-writer, Justin, is the originator of this one. Justin played it at one of my notorious Ishtar-B-Q's a few years ago, and I liked it a LOT. I liked it enough to ask him if I could add a chorus to it (it had no chorus at the time). Justin said sure. So I did.
It took many re-writes and bouts of frustration to get this thing into its current state. Co-writer Jenny Casey jumped in and helped a lot. There, I said it. My contractual obligation to Jenny is now satisfied.
