"The Nick Atoms" broke up in 2005? What's up with that?! Curmudgeony but lovable bass-playing robot 'Wyngarde' makes his FuMP debut with his old buddy the great Luke Ski, in this satirization of the song "I Can't Get Behind That!" by William Shatner and Henry Rollins. The rocking music is provided by Possible Oscar, of course! It can be found on Luke Ski's new CD "Baconspiracy", available now at www.LukeSki.com.

It's working OK here. Anyone else have a problem?
devospice - Sep 4, 2007
Nevermind. I just noticed Luke put spaces in his file name. I fixed it.

Heh, a wonderific little piece that asks the one question we all require an anaswer to. Y'know, it almost seemed to me that the song was like Rock and Roll Prose Poetry- very interesting....

This hasn't been played on Demento yet? What's up with that? ;)
garnsr - Sep 4, 2007
My only problem is I have a hard time understanding Wyngarde. Dig the song, though.

This song was a lot of fun! Now I'll have to find the original.

A Youtube search for "Speilbay" doesn't give any results. What's up with that?
budsharpe - Sep 5, 2007
"Spielbay" is misspelled as "Speilbay" in the lyrics. The correct spelling will return internet gold.
lukeski - Sep 6, 2007
Fixed it, thanks for the correction, Bud! :)
DJ Particle - Sep 6, 2007
I just noticed.... Adrian *Belew* is the correct spelling :) He had a neo-novelty solo hit back in '89 called "Oh Daddy"

Another super-funny and clever Luke Ski hit? What's up with that?
(it's called talent Seamonkey, get some...)
Who said that? The FuMP's talking back now!
Great job Luke!

So is this song filled with just a bunch of in-jokes or am I just really not schooled in comedy and sci-fi and filk type stuff? (that could be it.....) Oh well, great job Luke and Wyndgarde....I think this peice is even better then Shatner's original. Love the Seinfeld impression.

The vocals need to come up in the mix; I can't understand that. Maaaaaaan, FUNK DAT
Sparklez - Oct 18, 2007
When I first saw this and say 'Featuring Wyngarde' I wondered how Luke Ski got the ex-BOEM founder Mastermind to do this song. Then I realized it wasn't the Hellfire club member at all...what's up with that?
