Thanks guys! MrWompy-no it's not a parody of any particular song, just the big Nashville tearjerker ballad in general. The idea was that it begins tugging at your heartstrings right up until, oh, the end of the first verse. Glad y'all got it.

That is one funny song. I'm a hunter too and live in Massachusetts but only tail I like is female and whitetail lol.

Both me and my wife had a good laugh at it. I've been informed, though that the guy must be an East-coaster, since West coast hunters count only one antler. Had a good laugh at that, too.
