We welcome Jeff on drums and Nathan on bass to the band with our first new song in nearly a year, a parody of "Know Your Enemy" by Green Day about the arcade game Gauntlet. Why Gauntlet? Because it's the original quarter-muncher, that's why. This game robbed us of hours and hours—not to mention all of our paper route money—at the local arcades and bowling alleys back in the 1980s. More quarters, please!

Aw man, you've thrown down the Gauntlet now. How does it feel to be writing songs for yourselves again? Feels great to see just plain Possible Oscar up on the main page again. :)

YAY! Welcome back, guys, and welcome to the new guys! You sound friggin' awesome! Nice song, enjoyment occurred during listening! Incidentally, I should totally bring my TurboGrafx 16 and "Dungeon Explorer" to MarsCon so we can all friggin' play it - it's a 5-player Gauntlet-like game with RPG elements, and I haven't gotten together a full multi-player game of it since college. -=ShoEboX=-

The Gauntlet is thrown indeed. We need to have a videogame fight...or team up, something like that.

IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME! Srsly, all you folks who haven't seen PO live since Nathan and Jeff joined don't know what you're missing. They just get better and better every time I hear them. I'm thrilled to see this lineup kicking out new material.

I'm a sucker for any song about classic video games. Nice job!

Poscar never left... they were just recording under other FuMP artists names!
FINALLY back to form though and am I glad to see, er, HEAR that!

Thanks for parodying this song. Good sound, unfortunately I don't understand it.
You missed a guitar part by the way.

Jace, when it comes to parodies, "close enough" is our motto. I'm not going to try to replicate a song perfectly.
dino-mike - Jul 10, 2009
Gauntlet 2 is way better.
Waffleking - Jul 10, 2009
I have come up from the Waffle Bunker 20 miles below sea level to tell you that I am envious of your rock. Well done!

Awesome return to the FuMP.
voiceroy - Jul 18, 2009
Nice riff on the original, but I don't get the "explicit" label.
budsharpe - Jul 19, 2009
Viceroy, there is one F-bomb in there, so I erred on the side of caution.
voiceroy - Jul 23, 2009
@budsharpe: I fumpin' missed it, but I appreciate your thoughtful consideration.
voiceroy - Jul 23, 2009
@budsharpe: it's "VOiceroy", btw. It's a deliberate pun.

The production and musicality was as always top notch guys. The only problem was I don't understand any of it, but that's just me. Awesome to see more Green Day parodies hit The FuMP.
