A cover of They Might Be Giants' cover of an old American folk song. Back in 2008, we recorded a crappy home demo of this song, and it was made into a little animated video that got a fair amount of attention. So, we decided to redo it for the album.
Jace McLain: vocals, lead guitar, bass, synth tuba
Kyle Thorne: acoustic and electric guitars, backing vocals
Eric Zhu: drums

I keep singing the wrong lyrics to this one "...oh no, no, i don't wanna go to work..." Great job!

I have heard TMBG's version and I like it. It's a great song for people like me who are currently unemployed and looking for ways to enjoy their free time. (When i'm not volunteering, that is). I enjoy your cover of it as well, but I have to ask: does TMBG know you covered their song, and did they give you permission to do so? Great job with this.

@djseamus~ I didn't know TMBG did it Thanx for mentioning it. I'm unemployed myself; on disability but looking. Here's YouTube links to TMBG http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3Kgj6EiZtw

TMBG didn't write this song. It's actually an old American folk song dating back to the 50s and possibly earlier. Though no one seems to be 100% sure who actually wrote it.
Dunno if TMBG have heard our version. Maybe! It was floating around the Youtubes for a while.

I aspire to the lyrics of this song. :)

The album version sounds a lot smother than the demo but I still liked the demo. Did you guys become musicians so you wouldn't have to work?
