Revisiting Power Salad's musical past...This is a song I wrote around 1979, and recorded in 1980 as the Donzo Bog Band, then overdubbed in 1986 and released on the Donzo cassette "Full Speed Ahead!"...but I thought it was time to give this tune a proper recording. Mike Kubicsko and I would perform this often at parties, with friends who "got" us and liked the funny. Mike improvised the second half of each chorus, and thus the lyrics in this version are part improvised and part derived from Mike's contribution to the 1980/86 recording. Featuring many friends and artists of the Dementia community, they are announced in the recording; sorta like Vivian Stanshall on the Bonzo Dog Band's "The Intro And The Outro". Guitars, bass, virtual drums, thighs, and vocals by Chris Mezzolesta. Let's go back to your childhoodchildhoodchildhoodchildhoodchildhoodchildhoodchildhood.........

This song really left a sour taste in my mouth. Sad how much of this is still relevant. I love the cameos (yay Kyle and SAF). Final cameo for the win :-)

Oh dear God, I still have tears in my eyes from that last cameo. Fantastic!

Okay, it was funny, but definitely not my childhood. My childhood was far less controlled and conservative like an acid trip but only through the careful application of porcessed sugar and television.

oops I meant "processed"

This is great but I can't listen to it at work anymore because of excessive giggling.

Great song!! Thanks for including my "duck" solo. (And, Lukeski ... did she call the police after you recorded that solo?) 8^)

That was grape, Chris. Really grape.

And Luke wins the solo award this time.

This was weird. And awesome. Shoebox and Lukes solos are my faves. I actually wanted to do a solo, but I suck. Besides, wouldn't have been as good as Shoebox and Lukes.

I need to do a solo on Mac SE.

With a name like "Donzo Bog Band" I expected this to be really stupid. And it was. And it got stupider and stupider as it went. My favorite solo was definitely the McMahon.
