Please, if you will, travel back in time with us to 2010. The Chilean mine disaster captured the hearts and prayers of the world for weeks as the news carried the stories of tragedy, survival and the resilience of the human spirit.
Naturally, we at Sisyphus were not above exploiting it for a few cheap laughs. Enter "Hole Lotta Love: A Chilean Mining Musical," a theater experience which the eighteen people who attended could only agree that we'd created our OWN mining disaster. So what, you ask, would persuade us, after five years of hiding in relative isolation, to distribute yet ANOTHER mining song from the ill-fated cast album?
Perhaps it was the release of The 33: a docu-drama film that, let's face it, appears poised to make our humble off-off-off Broadway production look like Evita. Actual dialog from the trailer:
Miner 1: "That's a big rock."
Miner 2: "That's not a rock. It is the Heart of the Mountain. She finally broke."
I couldn't write dialogue like that - and believe me, I've tried - so I stole some.
Proudly introducing the multi-talented Mark Hefti as our oxygen-deprived hero.

Man, that is super-good. It's like Wicked except my wife isn't forcing me to listen to it.

This is amazing on so many sub-levels! I would seriously be interested in buying an entire soundtrack based on this musical... it's just perfect!
