Well... I had this dumb, rather obvious idea... and then I told my buddy Ty about it a week later, and he ran with it. He wrote an entire draft of this song, which made me giggle -- cause he's a damn GENIUS.
Then, when my friend Jody happened to be in the studio one day, laying down some piano on a Danish client's songs, I asked him to spend a few minutes knocking out the piano part to this jazz standard. Jody did it effortlessly, and just blew my mind (again) -- cause he's a damn GENIUS.
Then I sang it in my dumbest Sinatra-voice, and voila!
