What do you do with the pests Who forage and breed and nest In a bowl of fruit in your kitchen Well I tell ya those fellas are bitchin’ They’re tiny and plentiful, bountiful bugs Who just want to give you all thousands of hugs And maybe, snack on an apple or two I’ll happily do what I’m telling to you Gather ‘em up, put ‘em together Inside of a cup, then run some hot water And brew a new tea, it’s easy you see And good for the pains in your back or your knee It’s all thanks to slovenly living, Drosophila c omes in so loving and giving and awfully plentiful, so many uses And full of so many delectable juices Fruit flies! There’s just a ton of the little cute guys! We’re having such fun with those fruit flies! And you should check out their tiny boot size Yeah, they’re fruit flies You can mix ‘em with paint It makes a cool texture, isn’t it Quaint? Or sprinkle on salad Or spray in the face of [DJ Khaled!] For parties you want to just gather a lot and then Put a whole bunch in your cousin’s piñata and Watch as they unleash a biblical swarm It’s typically thick as a tropical storm But that’s not enough You can make lots of stuff It’s a fruitful endeavor Just smash ‘em and mash ‘em and mush ‘em together I hold ‘em so they can’t escape when they come in And mold ‘em all into the shape of a woman And then when I’m finished I chop up poor Jill And make little patties to pop on the grill Fruit flies!
