Another Raccoon Song parody, this one with Rick Astin's "Never Gonna Give You Up" as the basis. This one takes some explanation. A convention I attend always ends their variety show with The Raccoon Song, but this past year, they decided they wanted to Rick Roll the audience. I presented this parody as a way to do both.
In honor of April Fool's Day, when Rick Rolling is in season.
Let me start by saying I really, really like the Raccoon Man song that you did. When I read the title for this, I wasn't sure how to pronounce it and I was thinking of the mythological creature, Roc. When the lyrics came in I immediately smiled and started laughing through most of the song. Then I had to play it again just to hear the lyrics. Great job on this; I hope it did the trick for the convention!
Oh, it did. Went over very well. :)
Good mix, but did you get permission to use the samples from "The Raccoon Song" by Jan Hobson and Her Bad Review in your song?
Good song. However, "Never Gonna Give You Up" was by Rick Astley.
With regard to the samples, I was absolutely unable to even locate Jan Hobson and Her Bad Review, despite several searches. If you know of a way, let me know.
