Yes, folks .... I have recorded another song. This one is a parody of one of my all-time favorite rock songs -- "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen. This song was recorded by them in 1975 -- the year that I graduated from high school. My version is called "Wal-Martian Rhapsody". The music has been "country-fied", and it's the story of somebody's trip to a Wal-Mart. Interestingly and ironically, the idea for this song came to me one day several months ago when I was shopping in a Target store.
Yes, the performer is my alter-ego "Mr. Wompy". Yes, the vocals are not exactly professional in quality, but that was the effect that I was trying to create. Yeah, right .... good excuse for bad singing ... Give it a listen, and let me know what you think! I appreciate any feedback ... especially positive feedback!!!
Okay, how did you manage a country version of the Bohemian Rhapsody?
Now that was pretty incredible!! Doing a parody about a place everyone knows & has gone to. Instead of done in the rock version, done in a country version with a country acsent! If some sideshow tracks could get put on the regular cd releases, I would pick this one!!
Oh man. This had me rolling. Very well done!
Ya know, it's not every day you hear something like this. Great stuff, man. I laughed throughout.
Maxgoof -- I used PG Music's Band-In-A-Box software. I was amazed at the steel guitar part that it generated.
This is exceptional stuff, Eric!
This gave me quite a laugh LOL I'm going have to send this to my friends from when I worked there
