A Best-of-Sideshow disc sounds like a pretty fantastic idea. I know there are very few of us who make a concerted effort to listen to every Sideshow track when it is submitted. Due to that, many gems have been missed by people who could not bring themselves to sort through everything for the good stuff. I know it might be logistically infeasible due to many reasons (artists who can no longer be found for their approval, tracks that have disappeared and cannot be reviewed, copyright issues with signed artists or unlicensed backing tracks, etc.), but it's a nice idea all the same. I'd love to see even just a list of the highest rated tracks (rated by core members or a general vote - although the latter would require someone to design a web page in their copious spare time or at least make a spreadsheet to keep track of e-mail votes). If it was just a list, people could always make their own CD, should they choose, bypassing all the sticky logistical issues. |
