Okay, it's election time, and what choice do I have but to skewer the conservative guy? Especially when he's such a smug bastard whom (I'm told) I (vaguely) resemble?
My work was made particularly easy this time for two reasons: 1. Mitt keeps providing me with tons of material for mockery, and 2. I parodied a song that I'd already parodied 18 months ago. Shhhhh, don't tell anyone.
See the video here!
If you're not familiar with the original song, have a lookie here: Before He Cheats
And remember to VOTE!!
Lyrics, vocals, guitars, bass, drums, piano, production: SG
Fiddle: Tim Lorsch

Awesome parody...though this is the second time you've done a parody of this song about a politician!

I only care about 47% of this song.

Why limit yourself to just ' skewer the conservative' that old Joe Biden is constantly putting his foot in his mouth, there must be a ton of stuff you can parody there! Also the President did such a wonder performance at the last debate there must be a good material there as well

Great music, great lyrics, kickass video. So why am I so depressed now?

Haha, Obama'd get reelected even if he were Iraqi... that's a great line.

Hey, I'm new here. This is probably a stupid question, but have you considered letting liberal radio play your song? I could easily see this being played on the Stephanie Miller show. Or would this play havoc with any agreement you have with FuMP?

Democracy Now would probably like it. Or most shows on KPFK; I'd recommend the Michael Slate show. And heck, if it's more effective to have a fan send it in, I'd volunteer gladly.

All of the songs posted at the FuMP are done so under creative commons licencing, so any of those shows are welcome to play any of the songs posted here. Perhaps you could contact them and send them links to the political songs here that you like. Hopefully they'll give theFuMP.com a plug on thier shows when they play them.

@jennhi and @Old: Please feel free to send anything I write to any outlet, particularly if it's political -- thanks! @kaw: why limit yourself to offering suggestions to songwriters... why not write a song yourself, skewering whomever you please?

It's hilarious that you're being accused of being one-sided, given that the other parody of the song (pointed out several times) was about Anthony Weiner.

Wow, now that you mention it I can definitely see the resemblance. That should make for a cool video. Although what I really want to see now is the Tiny Face Steve meme.
