I have grown weary, my friends... weary of the pressure this culture puts on us to express ourselves only in the ways that society deems appropriate. Despite our constitutional right to say whatever we want, in whatever terms we want, we are cowed and ashamed to use the lovely profanity afforded us by the delightfully redundant English language.
This is a parody of an old Cat Stevens song. If you've never seen Harold And Maude [the film], go see it right now. It's available instantly on netflix for eight bucks a month.
Lyrics, guitars, vocals, production: SG
Way too much reverb: SG

Thanks folks! Glad you like my naughty song. I was torn about the explicit/squick issue... I eventually picked "squick" because of the repeated use of the word "cunt," and the "birth canal" mention. It just seemed to me that it would strike some ears as more than simple explicitness. KWIM?
weirdojace - Nov 15, 2011
Also yeah this song is definitely explicit, not squick. Squick is for songs about disgusting things.
lukeski - Nov 15, 2011
It's my new favorite Steve Goodie song! Golly gosh gee willackers! :D

dino-mike - Nov 15, 2011
Hahahaha! Amazing. But if you don't wanna be squick, screw it/ If you don't wanna be explicit, fuck it!/ You'll offend someone regardless/ You know that you will.
DJ Particle - Nov 15, 2011
I've already warned Tak... The song being parodied is a song that has deep meaning to her.
weirdojace - Nov 15, 2011
Shut your fucking face, uncle fucker!
Insane Ian - Nov 15, 2011
Excellent! But why is this "squick" and not "explicit"?
gingorninja - Nov 15, 2011
I completely fucking agree!
devospice - Nov 16, 2011
I think squick is appropriate here. Squick is for songs that can be considered "patently offensive" by some. I think this qualifies.
SteveHarper - Nov 17, 2011
This song is THE $#!+
wildcard9 - Nov 18, 2011
I disagree. The lyrics of this song require it have the x-rated explicit tag rather than the r-rated squick tag. This is goes way beyond squick and into the more restrictive explicit level.
devospice - Nov 19, 2011
Actually, Wildcard, I think you have that backwards. We consider squick to be more extreme than explicit. Explicit is for songs that may have the occasional bad word in them. Squick is for songs that could be offensive whether or not they contain any profanity. So while someone may not be offended by the occasional f-bomb in a song they may be completely freaked out by a song about having sex with dead bodies. That's why we have the squick tag, and filter out all the squick songs for people who aren't logged in.

Explicit + Squick = Exquisite.
That's what this is. Exquisite.

Congrats on the well-deserved #1! I love this song! (And I had no idea it was a parody until now.)
