I love this song even though I've never seen a single episode of Firefly....the Irish air the parody is based off of is beautiful, the lyrics to the parody are good for Valentine's Day radio shows, and lastly.... (and Shoebox will appreciate this), it's not about a cat! (Though there are many good cat songs out there). Good times all around! Awesome job, Marc.

Goddammit, Marc Gunn, shut up about your cat! (Someone had to say it)

Man, every time I hear some cool Firefly related content I get all nostalgic for the show and then get depressed knowing there won't be any more episodes. (Still hoping for more movies.) Anyway, very nice song.

Never seen Firefly, but your song was good.

LoonieBin - Jul 31, 2008

Goddammit Marc Gunn, shut up about your firefly? I could've sworn you were gonna say "show her to her knees" rather than "show her the real me."

comicguy - Aug 5, 2008

this song is just so explains that epsode...LOL right on guys

ProjectSisyphus - Aug 6, 2008

Nice song! What a voice...great hammer dulcimer stuff too. Saffron isn't a cat, is she?:)

djseamus - Aug 11, 2008

I feel as a geeky Marc Gunn and all-around folk fan I should correct you here, Bob Em. Marc plays the autoharp, and NOT the hammered dulcimer....but hammered dulcimers are awesome too. I'm looking into learing the mountain, or lap, dulcimer, also sometimes known as the "hog fiddle" (Insert clever pun here if you've got one).

Spaff.com - Aug 15, 2008

Breasts make me wheeze too. Has anyone said "I'm just mad about Saffron" yet?

djseamus - Aug 15, 2008

Wasn't that line in a 60's song by Donovan entitled "Mellow Yellow"?

voiceroy - Sep 4, 2008

Nice comedic summary of that Firefly ep, and the punchline is priceless. I give this little ditty two FuMPs up.
