Carrie Dahlby celebrates her "last half birthday" this Wednesday, August 22nd. She is acknowledging that significant event in her life with this song, inspired by barbershop quartets; specifically the "Barrytones" work recently released by Paul and Storm. She tries to insist that she has no age hang-ups and that this work is merely satire...

Great song!! But I thought you were adding "and holding" to your age after this year instead of incrementing it :-)

My 30th in 2002 was part of a new personal beginning for me, actually *heh* Carrie, all I'll say is you know what I'm talking about, even if very few others do. :) *hughugs* Don't worry too much about 30, ok? :) That said, VERY cute song! This could very well be your first solo F25, this song speaks to a lot of listeners!

Dang, how is everyone getting so old? I'm only 19! I'm gonna need to write a song celebrating my youth I think...

This song made me very sad...premiering it on Dementia Radio 6 DAYS before my big birthday ending in a zero! XOXOX

Heh, I'm glad to hear someone thinks so, Emi... but if I thought there was a chance it would even get aired on that show I wouldn't have made the obscure references....

I'll be 26 next month....what will that be? My less-than-half, or 3/4th's birthday? I was never good at math. Anyway, awesome song, Carrie, and some stunning harmonies to be sure. Can't wait to hear what you have planned next!

Carrie,
At my ripe old age of 37, I like to share a quote from Monty Python and the Holy Grail:
"I'm 37 - I'm not old!"
Happy bday to you!
Michael & Mark from A Cast Of Thousands (both 37, and NOT old)

Hey, I'm 54, and I still don't wear appropriate bras. Don't despair, it's not all over!

You know, they say 50 is the new 30... which means 30 is like, the new 10! You're just a young'un anyway (and HAWT, to boot!)
