I was seated in seat number A19 on the 3rd balcony before the Steely Dan concert at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, on June 27th of 2007. While writing in a notebook waiting for the concert to begin, these parody lyrics for "Hey Nineteen" by Steely Dan pretty much wrote themselves, and yes, a drunk guy did throw a beer at my head. The great Luke Ski helped with a few additional lyrics and the sketches, as well as appearing as Drunk Guy. Chris Mezzolesta of Power Salad is 100% responsible for the instrumental and the mixing/mastering, and 50% responsible for the vocals. DJ Particle also makes her first appearance as Security Joan in a Carrie Dahlby track.

I should mention, witnesses reported the man in the Balcony Fall story was attempting to slide down the handrailing. (And I'd be surprised if he was sober...)

And it didn't help that when I was a kid, at one time there were 3 bands out at the same time - Steely Dan, Steeleye Span, and Stealer's Wheel. LARRY!!!!!!!!!! Lotsa fun doing justice to the Dan on this one, and great work from Carrie, Luke n Emi. WooHoo!!

Awesome! Great concept: parodying a song as it's being performed at a concert. Chris as the RS reporter is perfect and Luke's "Drunk Guy" is hilarious. Good work, Carrie and co.

I sent the link to my friend who used to work at Ticketmaster. His comment was "BWAHAHA!" He told me that some teenie bopper once asked what "view obstructed" means. He said "put your hand in front of your face. Now what do you see?" Loved the details & plot development you put into it. A pro job!

Lovely, Carrie & Chris. And, yeah, those Steely Dan concertgoers are craaaazy. I almost broke my shoulder in the mosh pit during "Peg."
