Shakespearean Pie

If Don McLean's biggest hit and William Shakespeare's biggest hit had a bastard child, it might look something like this.

The lyrics, by Spaff, won the first Song of the Year contest on Amiright.com. Ever since, the site's denizens have been double-dog-daring Robert Lund to record them. He finally gave in.

Watch for cameos from FuMP members Carrie Dahlby and Tom Smith. They're both within the first 27 minutes.

Forsooth, methinks this lyrical escapade doth hit my eras with the fine skill of troubadours long since past into obscurity only to be irregularly brought to mind by the perseverance of lecturers too old to bridge the generational span. This Terpsichorean ditty dost prevail, whence others in their tired and staid orations falls short of the masters mark and leads youth to a greater understanding of the pentameter. I praise thee and would place thee in my highest regard and will remember your efforts after you have voyaged onto that undiscovered country that the most intellectual of vulcans knows not of. Huzzah for you, Robert of the Lund and Lord Spaff the lyrical.

I do not feel worthy of being called a parody artist after hearing this. FREAKING BRILLIANT! Shakespear gives me tired-head, but this song gives me major smile-face!! "Don't taze me bro"? You ACTUALLY worked that in there? Spaff, you're a freakin' genius and Lund delivers it perfectly! This shall be shared 'cross the land! an excellent song, well digested in the scenes, set down with as much modesty as cunning. I remember, one said there were no sallets in the lines to make the matter savoury, nor no matter in the phrase that might indict the author of affectation; but called it an honest method, as wholesome as sweet, and by very much more handsome than fine.
