Manic Mondays 224

This week's episode of Manic Mondays is posted. Download the show here: http://recordings.talkshoe.com/TC-54323/TS-260001.mp3

This week we explore music about drugs and G.I. Joe, and learn why you need to take the role of Dungeon Master in a game of Dungeons and Dragons very seriously.

Working Indie Musician - Episode 3

Episode 3 of The Working Indie Musician is now live. This time I talk about what it took to set up my Facebook fan page, what I went through, and whether it was worth it.

Devo Spice Update - 8/16/2009

Hey everyone,

Couple quick things. First of all if you're around tonight at 10 (EDT) please join me for the live recording of Manic Mondays on TalkShoe. The link is
http://www.talkshoe.com/tc/54323

I'm going to look into an alternative live-streaming service because TalkShoe tends to suck. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them.

Second, I've added new Devo Spice profiles to a couple of sites to try to promote my music. If you're a user of TheSixtyOne.com I'd appreciate it if you'd "heart" my music. My profile is here:
http://www.thesixtyone.com/devospice

The other site is Facebook. I finally set up a fan page. It was like pulling teeth-correction, I think I would have preferred pulling teeth-but I finally got it working. The page is here:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Devo-Spice/116693183739?ref=mf

If you use Facebook please become a fan.

Finally, the big news is that the first issue of my quarterly newsletters has been emailed to all the people who signed up for The Spice Rack. This issue has a 4-page report on Nerdapalooza (3 times longer than the one I blogged), information about the new Devo Spice album, the horror story that was my flight to California, a report on Al Fest, and a Useless Haiku, which is something I'm hoping to do every issue.

If you haven't already signed up for The Spice Rack you can still do so and I will email you the newsletter so you don't miss the issue. I'm hoping to get the first of the video podcasts up shortly.

That's all for now. Any of you guys going to Pi-Con?

Devo Spice Newsletter - Issue 1

The first issue of the Devo Spice newsletter, or as my wife calls it "that long ass thing," has been sent off to members of The Spice Rack! (If you're a subscriber and didn't get it for some reason please email me.)

If you're not a subscriber here's a little preview of what you're missing:

Issue 1 features a 4-page report on Nerdapalooza (3 times longer than the one I blogged), information about the new Devo Spice album, the horror story that was my flight to California, a report on Al Fest, and a Useless Haiku, which is something I'm hoping to do every issue.

I had fun putting this together. Now I need to work on the first episode of my video podcast The Insider for the subscribers. I'm hoping to get that out soon.
